Aon his hiring a Workday Configuration Engineer to support our Human Resources business processes. This role is a virtual position from the US, which can include coming into a local office for initial training.

What the day will look like

This role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other integration tools to support HR business processes.
  • Configure Workday modules, including HCM, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation, based on business requirements and system standard processes.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Workday, ensuring accuracy, usability, and data integrity for stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, HRIT, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Workday.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday integrations, configurations, and data flows, providing timely support and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Participate in Workday release management activities, including reviewing new features, testing updates, and implementing enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications, integration designs, and system configurations to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with offshore teams and external vendors to deliver global solutions and ensure consistent system performance.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and validation activities during Workday implementation or module rollouts.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Hands-on experience developing integrations and configurations in Workday HCM (5-6 years).
  • Experience working in or with teams in the US, the UK, Poland, Thailand, and India.
  • Workday certification in Integration, Studio, or Reporting, and with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) is a plus.
  • Background in working with Workday Extend is preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise HR platforms and cloud technologies.
  • Workday Developer or Workday Integration Specialist in a global corporate environment (3-4 years).
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations (e.g., EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect).
  • Experience configuring Workday modules and developing custom reports and calculated fields.
  • Solid understanding of Workday data model, business process framework, and security configuration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent, team player, proactive.
  • Experience collaborating with off-shore teams and managing resource allocation effectively.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in integration development, troubleshooting, and Workday reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $100,000-$120,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
