  • Hybrid, Radnor PA- 3 days in office

  • Must have an understanding of: SAP, IDocs and SAP ECC, XML, CXML, XCBL and EDI

Analyze, design, test and implement systems related to EDI/cXML processes, which enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives. Responsibilities include defining customer and user requirements, EDI/cXML specification analysis, assisting in the design/maps, build, testing and implementation of trading partner initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed mapping documents to ensure software supports end-user requirements

  • Prepare written documentation such as process spreadsheets, special programming documentation and narratives that define systems, applications, problems, and solutions designed to enhance or resolve business situations

  • Interview end-users (both internal and external (trading partners) to understand and document functional requirements.

  • Translate end-user requirements into detailed program specifications

  • Participate in the analysis, design, and build of applications and interfaces to conform to agreed upon specifications

  • Develops test cases, conducts testing and documents test results. Work with end-users (both internal and external) to execute test plans to ensure programs meet systems requirements

  • Utilizes various methods and processes to determine requirements and design formal solutions in response to those requirements.

  • Participate in the development and execution of system conversions and updates according to detailed specifications.

  • Recommends modifications to applications as appropriate.

  • Makes presentations or conducts training on new or changed systems.

  • Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring creativity and innovation

  • Some latitude for decision making with regard to assignments, generally outlining options and working with supervisor to propose final solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant area

  • 1 - 3 years experience in an Information Technology systems analysis function, working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications

  • SAP IDocs and SAP ECC

  • XML, CXML, XCBL, and EDI

  • Knowledge of EDI/cXML standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and EDI/cXML translators.

  • Ability to conduct research into EDI/cXML issues and products as required.

  • Software development lifecycle.

  • Programming, including database integration.

  • Source code control - "version control".

  • Familiar with most stages of the project life cycle from inception through post-implementation. Emphasis being placed on analysis, build and test.

  • Must be able to translate business requirements and design concepts into intuitive designs and applications.

  • Ability to explain and discuss complex analysis and programming issues in a manner that can be understood by non-technical persons.

  • Ability to analyze and define complex program structures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software AG webMethods knowledge a plus

  • Some experience with procurement systems such as Ariba would be helpful
