Summary: We are seeking an experiencedIndustrial Engineerto join the Business Solutions team and support aggressive growth plans over the next three years. As anindustrial engineer, you will use a consultative problem-solving approach to identify opportunities and design and implement improvements to processes, workflows, metrics, and operations in general.

Additional opportunities in the role will include supporting operations with continuous improvement and thought leadership, project pricing support, new facility launch support, and comprehensive end-to-end project support. The Wagner Business Solutions team is focused on implementing and improving standardized work, designing and implementing new warehouse designs, coaching and leading continuous improvement and defect reduction activities.

The ideal candidate will have logistics or warehousing operations experience, knowledge of lean and/or continuous improvement concepts and waste reduction, and some experience in process analysis, although none of these are requirements. A self-starter capable of identifying improvement opportunities via data analysis and interpretation will thrive in this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

Design, update, and maintain building layout drawings
Establish and review standard metrics to generate countermeasures
Lead continuous improvement activity and documentation
Implement and maintain Wagner Standard Work and SOPs
Administer change management
Train, lead, and audit 5S activity
Perform process auditing and drive corrective actions
Provide WMS set-up, launch, configuration, and maintenance support
Perform inventory analysis
Evaluate and improve customer profitability
Provide project justification
Design operational processes
Perform annual scope of work analysis
Provide monthly labor planning analysis
Lead Cap-Ex planning
Research and implement automation and technology applications
Provide cycle count and physical inventory planning
Perform invoice vs. actual analysis
Provide root cause analysis of defects and misses
Supporting new project pricing analysis

What You Need:

Education (Required)- College - Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Data Analysis, or equivalent work experience
Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position)- 7+ years of professional experience working in a warehousing or manufacturing environment. Exposure to process and quality control, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills-
Required Software: Microsoft Office Suite, CAD or equivalent.
Preferred Software: Tableau or other data visualization software, experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Must be a team player and excellent communicator who can interact effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees of the corporation. Must be skilled in all job-related technology and engage in logical, process-based problem-solving.
Experience working with measurement systems like MOST, MTM, MODAPTS, etc., automation, and/or robotics will be useful but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
Work on concrete and unlevel surfaces
May be required to climb ladders and stairs
Work around hazardous materials and may be exposed to carcinogens, toxic, and explosive materials.
Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
Periods of working at a desk using a computer for data analysis, reporting, or designing workflows

Qualifications
Experience
2 years: Experience implementing and maintaining Standard Work, SOPs, and change management initiatives (required)
3 years: Hands-on experience with process audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation (required)
3 years: Experience using data analysis and visualization tools (Excel required; Tableau or similar preferred) (required)
7 years: 7+ years of professional experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing operations (required)
