We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Hydro Maintenance Mechanic in our Iron Mountain, Michigan location. This position is represented by We Energies L2150 Union. Job Summary
As a team member of the Hydro Maintenance Group, the Hydro Maintenance Mechanic provides direct mechanical, maintenance support and control for the troubleshooting, overhaul, restoration, maintenance, testing, and operation of the division's 13 hydroelectric projects containing 30 hydro generators, their associated turbine/generating machinery, and auxiliary equipment for the most efficient use of water resources. Minimum Qualifications
The selected applicant must reside within 30 driving miles of Wolverine Service Center. Employees will be required to relocate to meet this residency requirement within 18 months from date of physical transfer. Testing Requirements
Maintenance Selection System (MASS) - Other level: Ability to understand basic mechanical principles, visualize proper assembled form of objects, read and comprehend technical material; and skill in working basic mathematical problems. End Date: 01/23/2026 Minimum Posting Range: $33.12 Maximum Posting Range: $55.19 The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
