The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aPurchasing Plannerto work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

Coordinate the planning, scheduling and execution of all audits (internal, customer and distribution).

The key responsibilities of thePurchasing Plannerinclude, but are not limited to:



  • Follow up with suppliers to improve future delivery dates to align with MRP need
  • Expedite past due purchase orders supporting critical customer orders; update MRP to reflect supplier schedule dates
  • Expedite all consignment short of next 4-week demand plus minimum stock; maintain the consignment purchase order with supplier delivery date commitments
  • Expedite suppliers with inventory levels below kanban levels of PA kanban contracts
  • Confirm supplier status of unacknowledged purchase orders
  • Communicate schedule improvements to Planning, Customer Service & Delivery Assurance teams
  • Follow proper escalation path for critical expedites and engage Buyer to resolve any outstanding contract issues that may be holding up delivery - reviewed during weekly meetings
  • Collaborate with Receiving/Inspection/Stockroom to resolve issues at all locations


Salary: $50,000- $70,000

    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY




The Person

The key skills and qualities of aPurchasing Plannerat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field or 5 years direct work experience
  • Must have full knowledge of MRP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at both oral and written communication
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Ability to move about the facility
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Compliance with all Purchasing Procedures and Policies
