Description

The Account Associate Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising a team of Account Associates responsible for providing service, customer support, and administrative support to a team of Account Executives and Account Managers. The position provides work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. The position also ensures the Account Associates maintain strong relationships with their partner Account Executive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Delegates and directs the work of Account Associates. Handles employee complaints and grievances, disciplines employees, and plans the work and techniques to be used to successfully carry out these duties.
  • Hires new team members. Ensures proper training and competence in the Account Associate team's ability to process and fulfill applications for new and existing customers.
  • Works seamlessly with other Agency colleagues to complete transactions according to Agency workflows and procedures.
  • Ensures the successful fulfillment and processing of new business customer on boarding.
  • When appropriate, responsible for initiating changes to procedures in workflows in order to improve efficiencies or the service delivered to our clients.
  • Addresses escalated issues and provides problem resolution, when necessary.
  • Remains aware of their team's skills and weaknesses, taking a proactive approach in coaching or providing additional training to members of the team in order to improve their skills to meet Agency objectives.
  • Fosters a team spirit where the Account Associate understands and practices that the Account Executive is their customer and provides the best possible service.
  • Conducts quality control audits to ensure that the Agency's procedures are being followed. If deviations are found they are to be immediately corrected.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and License Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Property & Casualty license required


Experience



  • A minimum of five (5) years of insurance experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Ability to understand insurance policy working and contracts
  • Ability to manage insurance-related issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good people management skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
  • Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)


The estimated base salary range for this position is from $75,000 to $85,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon several factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant skills, education, work experience, job location/geographic region, and/or certifications.
