The impact you'll make

The Pilot Operations organization is a dynamic, innovative team focused on enabling fast, highquality, and competitively differentiated transitions of new products into our highvolume manufacturing partners. The Transitions Project Manager plays a pivotal role within this group and is expected to take on broad, complex, and impactful responsibilities.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing operations that enable decisive decisionmaking.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with strong influencing abilities.
  • A solid understanding of customer expectations regarding quality and ontime delivery.
  • Proven expertise in problemsolving and rootcause/correctiveaction methodologies.
  • The ability to thrive in a fastpaced, ambiguous environment.
What you'll do
  • Apply strong communication and problem solving abilities across diverse business scenarios.
  • Deliver formal presentations to executives, managers, and broader teams; facilitate Phase Gate Reviews.
  • Lead cross functional teams spanning multiple organizations and global locations while providing guidance and support
  • Influence peers, internal partners, and leadership to drive alignment and decision making.
  • Offer coaching, mentoring, and training when needed.
  • Identify when to escalate risks or issues and do so effectively while preserving productive relationships across teams.
  • Foster a team culture grounded in creativity, accountability, and innovative problem solving while honoring organizational commitments.
  • Create and present clear, concise communications tailored for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee execution, manage risks, ensure adherence to schedules, and monitor performance to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to ensure seamless program and project delivery.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or a Master's with 6+ years; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years in a technical or engineering position.
  • At least three years of experience in program or project management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proven leadership abilities and familiarity with phase gate program management methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross functional collaboration and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical abilities, including data interpretation to support decision making.
  • Proficiency with program management tools such as MS Project and Planview.
  • Experience using analytical methods and data driven problem solving frameworks (e.g., PSDM).
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP).
  • Background in New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI).

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $92,000 - Max $211,000.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
