As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, support access points as needed, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, damage, or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other site systems as assigned, and report irregular activity per post orders and site procedures.
  • Control access points by verifying identification, directing visitors, and/or documenting entries and exits in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site contacts and/or public resources as needed.
  • Complete written reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and/or maintenance or hazard notifications with accurate details and timely submission.
  • Support a technology-focused location by maintaining awareness of restricted areas, sensitive equipment spaces, and/or delivery routes, and reporting access or policy concerns through established channels.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, participating in briefings, special assignments, and/or post changes as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
