Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting Junior-Level Geospatial Research Analysts. Strong capabilities in applying geospatial analytics and all-source intelligence methodologies, theories, and frameworks are required. The Junior-Level Geospatial Research Analyst will be based remotely supporting US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. While a clearance is not required, candidates possessing a Secret or TS/SCI clearance are preferred.

Work Setting:

    This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Produce geospatial and all-source intelligence and analytic products.
  • Assist in data acquisition, geospatial layer management, and quality control of GIS datasets.
  • Perform metadata tagging, source verification, and initial processing of geospatial research inputs.
  • Support dashboard updates, map production, and research documentation efforts.
  • Produce and curate country and regional pages in EDA.


Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, or two (2) years of equivalent experience creating geospatial analytic products or supporting DoD geospatial and all-source analysis and production.
  • Experience performing geospatial or all source analysis, research, and production.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and applying AI/ML, data quality, data enrichment, data stewardship, and research processes and techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise systems and data steward tools, catalogs, techniques, and processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency stewarding data using NIST, DoD, IC regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of analytic requirements.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks.

Preferred:

  • Esri GIS certifications in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Rest API; Python, R, JSON, HTML/XML, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and All Source Intelligence analytic methodology.
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments.

Clearance Requirement:

  • None required; Secret or TS/SCI preferred
