Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Machine Learning (ML) Administrator. Strong capabilities in supporting Databricks platform administration and enterprise data architectures for DoD data-driven projects are required. The ML Administrator will be based remotely supporting US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. While no clearance is required, candidates with a Secret or TS/SCI are preferred.

Work Setting:

    This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manage machine learning model versioning, lineage tracking, and compliance with governance policies, ensuring reproducibility and secure deployment.
  • Implement and monitor ML infrastructure, optimizing compute resource allocation across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Support validation of AI/ML pipelines, ensuring models remain accurate, explainable, and aligned with operational objectices.


Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, Geospatial Science, GIS, Data Science, Business Analytics, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or eleven (11) years of equivalent experience in ontology development and semantic technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ontology design, semantic data modeling, and advanced SPARQL query development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in W3C standards (RDF, OWL, SHACL), and supporting frameworks like Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) and Common Core Ontologies (CCO).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Java and Python for ontology-driven application development.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Stardog Knowledge Graph platform.
  • Experience with Bash scription for automation tasks.
  • Hand-on experience with Esri data tools including ArcGIS.
  • Background in DevSecOps practices, version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks.

Preferred:

  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments.

Clearance Requirement:

  • None required; Secret or TS/SCI preferred.
