What You'll Do

• Prune: Evaluate tree health and safely prune young to mature trees using aerial lifts, rope & saddle, chainsaws, pole saws, and hand tools.
• Remove: Safely remove mature trees near traffic, pedestrians, and structures using ropes, pulleys, and slings to lower large limbs/logs.
• Stumping: Read utility locate markings, set up safety shields, and grind stumps with large stump grinders.
• Planting: Properly and efficiently plant bare root and balled & burlapped trees and shrubs.
• Landscape Maintenance: Prune trees/shrubs, plant and maintain perennials, edge beds, clean up leaves, fertilize, mulch, weed, and apply herbicides.
• Snow/Ice Removal: Plow and salt City buildings, parking lots, walks, and streets using trucks, loaders, skid loaders, and tractors.

What You Bring

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Up to two years of arborist or tree care experience
• Valid WI driver's license and acceptable driving record per City Policy
• Ability to obtain WI Commercial Driver's License within 1 year of hire
