This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring products are designed, procured, and manufactured in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements. You will support continuous improvement initiatives, drive corrective actions, and partner cross-functionally to strengthen quality systems and customer satisfaction.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Quality Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions
  • Support and monitor scrap reduction programs, assessing effectiveness and recommending improvements
  • Apply quality tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical and quality support related to field returns and customer-reported issues
  1. Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
  • Partner with design engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, sales, suppliers, and inspection teams to improve product quality
  • Interface with customers to investigate complaints and reported quality issues through closure
  • Interface with suppliers on quality issues, including documenting non-conformances and coordinating corrective actions
  • Support troubleshooting and field service requests from customers
  1. Quality Systems, Compliance & Audits
    • Develop, revise, apply, and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, and related documentation
    • Support company compliance and certification programs (ISO 9001, ASME, ATEX/IECEx, PED, etc.)
    • Coordinate internal quality audits and assist with customer and third-party audits
    • Coordinate first article inspection requests and manage customer compliance documentation requests

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Quality Engineer or equivalent quality-related role
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing quality data and driving corrective actions

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Strong data analysis, organizational, and project management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • ASQ certification preferred

Travel & Working Environment

  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing plants approximately 5-7 days per month
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
