The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering ( JSNN) is a joint venture of North Carolina A&T State University ( NCAT) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro ( UNCG). JSNN's research and educational programs focus on the emerging areas of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. The strengths of the two universities in the basic sciences and in engineering make them ideal partners for this interdisciplinary School. Nanotechnology is often referred to as convergent technology because it utilizes knowledge from a diverse array of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and technology. JSNN's Professional Master of Science and Ph.D. degree programs will help meet the need for trained professionals in the emerging high-technology industries using nanotechnology.

This role will be responsible for supporting JSNN life sciences core and shared labs by operating and maintaining core equipment, assisting researchers, and delivering lab training. In addition, this role will ensure safety and regulatory compliance, manage hazardous materials and waste, and oversee emergency preparedness. Lastly, this role will promote a proactive safety culture while collaborating with leadership and institutional EHS offices to maintain efficient, safe lab operations.
