We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to step into a vital role supporting a dynamic legal team. In this position, you will be at the heart of legal operations, directly contributing to the smooth progression of critical cases and ensuring that all legal proceedings adhere to strict timelines. Your expertise will empower attorneys to focus on strategic legal work, knowing that their calendars and deadlines are meticulously managed. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact by upholding the integrity and efficiency of legal processes.

Responsibilities

Docket/calendar clerks manage lawyers' calendars for conferences, depositions, motions, trials, filing deadlines, docket appearances, Examinations before Trial, and discovery response and demand deadlines. They also manage and track case files and seek due diligence materials in advance of deadlines. Candidates must have an understanding of court rules and orders, calendar and docket database management experience, an understanding of legal terminology specific to the practice (EBTs, Motions, Answers, Litigation), proficiency in basic legal research, and excellent computer skills.

MUST HAVE Professional or Technical Skills

-MS Office

- E-filing (motions, answers, EBTs, Orders)

- Law Manager or similar document repository program experience (please list the program)

- Multi-tasking

- Communication

- Comfortable with phone and email communication

Education or Certification Requirement:

- Associates Degree

This is an ONSITE opportunity in NYC - only local candidates will be considered. Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm M-F.
