Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol in Zebulon, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will engage professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors and/or contractors according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, including incident reports and daily activity logs, and report observed hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations through approved channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
