Position Description JOB OPENINGS: 1 Shift - 1 Job Title: Welded Tube Machine Set-up & Operate Rate: $21.56-$25.48 JOB DESCRIPTION: Set up and operate a tube rolling machine to produce welded aluminum heat exchanger tubes. Working from blue prints, charts, specifications and visual displays, utilize precision measuring and inspection instruments to maintain production of tubes which meet dimensional, weld bead integrity and surface specifications. During operation, continuously monitor complex mechanical and electrical machine components in order to produce tubes of acceptable quality. Lubricate mill line daily. Mix and add coolants as required. Maintain statistical control charts of units produced and enter information into the computer. Periodically clean, inspect and replace all mechanical components of the system. Trouble shoot equipment and make necessary repairs to produce tubes of acceptable quality. Must be able to work independently and with a group. Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Testing will be considered in determining qualifications for this position.
