The NOBU product R&D team, is seeking an ITQ Technician that will be a key partner in accelerating growth across multiple product categories within NOBU, specifically through Annie's snacking.

This role will be responsible to lead efforts that deliver growth through innovation, margin expansion from holistic margin management (HMM) and remarkability through renovation on Annie's cookie, crackers, grahams and fruit snacks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partner with NOBU R&D team to execute tasks to advance Cookie, Cracker, Graham and/or Fruit projects- focused on renovation, HMM and innovation
  • Execute benchtop and pilot plant work to advance key projects
  • Drive process improvements/ efficiencies on areas of accountability and teach/ train others
  • Partner with team to commercialize projects with external manufacturers
  • Develop and leverage internal and external networks/demonstrate the power of networks to others.
    • Strong partnership and connection with ingredient vendors, integrated operations, sourcing and ESC partners.
  • Collaborate with scientists, extended team, on method development and enhancements
  • Formulate products in alignment/adherence with Cascadian Farm and Annie's ingredient and sustainability standards - e.g. certified organic, made with organic, non-GMO, gluten free, vegan
  • Interface with cross functional partners as needed to advance work

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and 2+ years experience in a lab setting or an associate or bachelor's degree in a science-related field
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience solving technical/mechanical problems from the lab to the plant
  • Understanding of food safety and human safety
  • Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) environment; comfortable operating equipment
  • Ability to quickly pivot and take action
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience learning new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways
  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic and highly matrixed work environment
  • Strong computer/technology skills
  • Strong self-starter and holds a high regard for quality of work
  • Maturity to navigate through stressful situations

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $45000.00 - $62000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
