Job Summary

The School of Architecture seeks a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor to teach design studios; lecture courses and seminars; provide research; assist with administrative services; and demonstrate expertise in non-Western perspectives and contexts across lecture courses, seminars, and studio settings at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaching responsibilities - teach undergraduate and graduate studios and architectural history and theory lecture and seminar courses.
  • Instruct large core lecture courses (ARCH 200, ARCH 210, two general education courses, studios, and ARCH 251, 252, and 371).
  • Provide academic advising within the Master of Arts in Design Criticism program.
  • Research Responsibilities: Conduct clinical, specialized, and educational research in areas related to architectural design and architectural history and theory.
  • Produce scholarly publications and present research at academic and professional conferences.
  • Service and Administrative Responsibilities: Serve on departmental and college committees, contributing to academic governance and strategic planning.
  • Support curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Assist with organizing departmental events and engage in student advising and mentorship.

Relevant terminal degree (MArch for Architecture)
