Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a dynamic worldwide AI Solution Manager to drive the growth of its Workstations business through AI-focused developer solutions. This role is strategic and market-driven, emphasizing go-to-market execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership over deep technical development. This role will be the worldwide focal point for workstation-based AI Developer initiatives, aligning Lenovo's offerings with market needs and ensuring customers can deliver rapid ROI throughout their AI development workflows, accelerated by Lenovo Workstations. A fundamental understanding of AI technologies is required, but success in this role hinges on strategic thinking, knowledge of the AI landscape, and the ability to translate end-user needs into effective solutions and go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute worldwide go-to-market plans for AI development-based solutions, powered by Lenovo Workstations. Identify market opportunities, target segments, and use cases where Lenovo's workstation portfolio can win, ensuring a strong and differentiated market position.
- Partner with Lenovo's broad device, infrastructure & services teams to create joint go-to-market initiatives. Align workstation powered AI Developer solutions with broader Lenovo portfolio offerings (e.g., data center solutions, professional services) to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions to the market.
- Serve as the global point of contact and subject matter expert for AI on Workstations, enabling Lenovo's direct sales teams, specialist sellers, and reseller partners. Provide tools, training, and guidance to help them effectively position and sell workstation AI developer solutions. Support key sales engagements and RFPs by contributing expertise on AI use cases and Lenovo's capabilities.
- Support the development of clear training programs and user-friendly documentation that empower customers, sales engineers, and partners to successfully implement and use AI solutions on Lenovo Workstations. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops (virtually or in-person) to increase awareness and knowledge of Lenovo's AI solution portfolio across regions.
- Collaborate with worldwide marketing teams to plan and execute strong AI-developer-focused marketing campaigns for Lenovo Workstations. Contribute subject-matter expertise to the creation of content (webinars, case studies, whitepapers) and function as a spokesperson/evangelist for AI solutions in Lenovo Workstations at industry events or online forums. Ensure consistent messaging that highlights Lenovo's differentiation in AI and drives demand.
- Engage with enterprise customers and prospects to understand their AI requirements, challenges, and workloads. Function as a trusted advisor to customers, articulating Lenovo's value proposition and ensuring our solutions drive positive business outcomes.
- Operate and engage with key industry partners (software/hardware) to help broaden Lenovo's AI Developer value proposition and support enterprise customers and prospects with delivery of greater value from their AI projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, solutions management, or business development in the tech industry. Proven track record of driving go-to-market strategies, product launches, or sales enablement programs on a global or regional scale.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure or hardware (workstations, servers, or high-performance computing) and a basic understanding of AI/ML technologies and trends. (Deep coding or data science expertise is not required, but you should be comfortable discussing AI concepts and value propositions at a high level.)
- Demonstrated ability to engage with enterprise customers to gather requirements and feedback. Experience translating customer needs and market trends into actionable plans or solution offerings.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and driving initiatives that involve coordination between sales, marketing, engineering, and partners. Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus among diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.
- Involvement in AI-focused projects or go-to-market programs is a strong plus (for example, bringing an AI software product to market, or partnerships in the AI ecosystem). Experience working with channel sales models or global reseller partners is also beneficial.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic thinker who can craft a broad vision for AI solutions and execute on the tactical steps needed for go-to-market success. Able to prioritize initiatives based on business impact and adjust strategy in response to market feedback.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills. Capable of conveying complex ideas in simple terms to professionals across technical and business audiences. Comfortable speaking on AI trends and Lenovo's solutions in front of large groups or executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Adept at building relationships and working effectively with colleagues across different geographies and functions. Able to influence peers and senior stakeholders to drive alignment on business goals.
- Passion for understanding and solving customer problems. Empathy for user pain points and an advocacy mindset to ensure Lenovo's offerings deliver true value in real-world AI use cases.
- Enjoys teaching and empowering others. Able to create engaging training content and confidently deliver instruction to sales teams or technical staff.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and changing market conditions. Proactive in seeking out opportunities and preemptively addressing challenges to spur success in AI initiatives.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape Lenovo's AI Development workstation strategy at the intersection of Enterprise AI, Hybrid AI, and high-performance computing.
