Position Title: Controller

Wage: Based on Experience

Our Transportation and Logistics client in Hartford, WI is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations across a growing, diverse privately owned organization.

This is a role for a strategic and hands-on, detail-driven finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations and leadership to drive performance, strengthen internal controls, and support smart growth. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite role that reports directly to ownership. Controller Responsibilities:

- Lead all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and GL

- Consolidate and report financial results across entities

- Prepare and present financial statements, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

- Develop and manage cost models and profitability analysis for operations

- Ensure GAAP compliance, regulatory reporting, and strong internal controls

- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, and working capital

- Oversee financial systems and drive process improvements and automation

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team

- Advise leadership on financial strategy

Qualifications for Controller:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA or CMA a plus

- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

- Transportation, logistics, or warehousing experience strongly preferred

- Proven leadership and team management experience

- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

- Multi-entity or consolidated reporting experience preferred
