Position Title: CNC Set Up Machinist
Wage: $25-$32/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, OT on Fridays QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Set Up Machinist for a company in Whitewater, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. CNC Set Up Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Run and set up a variety of CNC lathe machines to produce various mechanical parts and kits - Familiarity and proficiency with the operational understanding of all assigned equipment procedures, capabilities, and capacities - Familiarity and proficiency with how to read, interpret, and process all orders utilizing standard documentation - Work with close tolerance - Proficient in the use of common, generally accepted measuring devices such as tapes, micrometers, calipers, or other instruments as required - Familiarity and proficiency with the operational aspects of all equipment assigned to the area - Familiarity and proficiency with various safety requirements such as the lockout/tagout procedure, etc. - Maintain and turn in accurate, legible daily labor reports - Familiarity and proficiency with how to select, set-up, and adjust equipment necessary to complete job in the most efficient manner - Strictly adhere to published company safety guidelines and procedures - Familiarity and proficiency with how to verify conformance of finished product to work order requirements CNC Set Up Machinist Requirements: - Must have CNC Lathe Operator with strong CNC setup experience - 1-3 years of manufacturing experience - Stand for entire shift - Lift 30 pounds frequently - Bend, squat, and reach frequently - Twist and bend at the waist - Basic math and reading skills - Blueprint reading - Ability to read a tape measure and ruler - Ability to read assembly instructions QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
