The Opportunity - Workflow Manager, Surveillance

During training and orientation this role will be based in Chantilly and then transition to Bethesda, MD.

Peraton is seeking an experienced Workflow Manager to join our Surveillance team. In this critical role, you will:

    Lead integrated BNATCS execution across radar, communications, weather, and surveillance domains.

  • Manage scope, cost, schedule, and risk to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Coordinate with FAA governance, integrator, and OEM stakeholders, driving milestone reviews and decision forums.

  • Ensure readiness for commissioning and operational turnover, supporting safe and efficient air traffic operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 12+ years of experience in Project or Workflow Management, ideally with radar modernization or related aviation systems

  • BS/BA Degree, or 10 years experince with MS/MBA Degree

  • Proven expertise in Program Management, IMS, FAA TechOps coordination, Primavera/MS Project, and risk/dependency management

  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery models, operational governance, and performance management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across technical, operational, and personnel domains.
  • Experience supporting contract execution, staffing plans, and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience briefing executive leadership and government customers.
  • Strong risk management and decision-making capabilities in high-visibility environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL Managing Professional, or SAFe Agilist.
  • Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other aviation or transportation programs.
  • Familiarity with NextGen, large-scale modernization, or safety-critical systems.
  • Background in change management, organizational transformation, or program turnarounds.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
