Business Development Specialist Washington, DC (DMV hybrid) Pay From: $145,000 per year MUST: Experienced Sales/Business Development professional 8+ years of total experience in both Federal and State and local Business Development focused in the IT Services space Strong understanding for BD lifecycle and sales in Federal / State Government Contracting Knowledge and understanding of where to find leads, how to contact and qualify leads that are relevant to client's organization, etc. Preferred experience working with and supporting State Government work (Especially Counties around the DMV) In-depth knowledge of state and local government procurement processes, regulations, and contracting vehicles Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, including procurement officers and key decision-makers Ability to travel when needed, attend events, industry days and be client facing and to represent company interest on current programs and varous opportunities in the area Experience going on site to meet clients and identify opportunities in sales Experience developing and maintaining a call plan Experience performing research and analysis on core customers Strong business acumen Strong communication skills both written and verbal Be organized and prepared to discuss various business opportunities/leads with clients and why we are recommending the client pursue those government opportunities Ability to multitask BA/BS Degree preferred DUTIES: Ideal candidate will be an integral part the BD team in identifying and pursuing opportunities in Federal space as well as State Government Willing and able to go onsite and to client events to engage with clients and conduct research and 'door knocking' to identify potential business opportunities within the state, and local government sectors for IT services and solutions Bring in past experience and relationships to go after new opportunities in the Fed Health space Help in the identifying of potential opportunities to grow current work as well as qualifying of new leads for business development opportunities in the region Visit client sites to meet with and identify potential needs Attend industry days and events and be a face for the Business Development team and a voice for the company to clients and partners Know how to identify Government leads and CORs and how to contact them Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and other relevant stakeholders in government agencies to understand their needs and position our services effectively Willing to learn the Client process and work with senior Business Development leads Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), crafting proposals, and presenting our solutions to government agencies Ability to develop, build, and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and companies Assess and analyze the competition for Pipeline opportunities Create call plan Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
