What We're Looking For:

A Sushi Cook III capable of preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires precision, creativity, and an understanding of traditional and modern sushi techniques.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of all sushi ingredients.
  • Complete daily prep tasks, including cutting vegetables, preparing rice, and organizing ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi station and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Provide personable service to guests when applicable.
  • Report equipment maintenance needs and ensure proper functioning of tools.
  • Participate in kitchen opening and closing procedures.
  • Support cost control measures and minimize waste.
  • Attend required hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Bend, stoop, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and push carts up to 200 pounds as necessary.
  • Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sushi preparation, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurant.
  • Knowledge of sushi techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
  • High school diploma required; culinary certification preferred.
