Description

The Total Rewards Manager is instrumental in implementing competitive and equitable compensation structures and benefit programs. The Total Rewards Manager will be responsible for the company design and administration of the benefits and compensation plans, and establishing policies in alignment with Lifespark's strategic plan for growth and scalability. The Total Rewards Manager will perform data analysis and monitor trends to determine the best pay and benefits practices, while identifying and implementing ways to improve the current processes, practices, and policies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a desire to own and develop a function that has a deep impact across the company to attract, retain, and build top-tier talent. Whether it is developing new world-class total rewards policies, diving deep into market research, analyzing big data, and benchmarking, the person in this position will be involved in solving complex and interesting problems within the organization. Given the nature of the work, it also creates huge opportunities for collaboration with departments in and outside of the Talent team.

Position: Total Rewards Manager

Salary: $110,000 - $128,000 annually, depending on experience

Service Area: Hybrid (with occasional office days in St. Louis Park, MN 55416)

Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Full - Time / Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Position Functions & Responsibilities:



  • Drive the planning, vision, compliance, and development of competitive benefit & reward programs for Lifespark.
  • Design and develop best in class benefits strategies to attract and retain an innovative, high caliber workforce.
  • Manages a very competitive 401k plan, including Plan Administrator duties, planning quarterly meetings with the committee, as well as all ongoing compliance, reporting and filing requirements.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with external benefit providers and brokers.
  • Partner with benefits broker to assess and analyze current trends and performance of our company benefit plans; provides regular reporting and strategic recommendations based on company and employee requirements and fiscal drivers.
  • Partner with the benefits broker and HRIS team to launch the annual open enrollment process.
  • Ensure company policies and protocols follow all relevant regulations, for example: ERISA, ACA-related, HIPPA, records management, etc.


  • Serve as a resident subject matter expert for all things compensation and benefits
  • Provide consistency in pay practices for the company
  • Assist in the development of a core compensation philosophy and strategy, inclusive of salary ranges, variable compensation, and equity issuance to be regularly bench marked and evaluated.
  • Design compensation policies to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity, through research on compensation policies and practices of competitors, as well as internal data analysis.
  • Conduct job evaluations, and work with business leaders and HR Management team to determine proper salary ranges; manage the process for existing and newly created positions and conduct job audits as appropriate.
  • Create and support uniform title and title levelling structures.
  • Conduct comparative market benchmark reviews, analyze market rates for similar jobs in comparable labor markets and recommend changes as appropriate to maintain desired market competitiveness and ensure internal equity.
  • Manage Performance Review and Promotion/Salary review projects, working closely with the HR Management team to create Performance Review and Promotion/Salary review policies.
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure benefits and compensation modules are optimized for automation and accuracy.



Qualifications:

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • HR certification, Certified Employment Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other HR certification designation preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in Benefits and Compensation.
  • 5+ years of related professional HR experience (health care or senior living experience highly preferred) to include supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of strategic relationship building and conflict resolution are required.
  • Experience in activating human capital as a strategic contributor to long-term organizational success.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, including organizational and planning skills.
