Responsibilities
Equipment Operation

• 
  

  Operate different types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut materials according to specifications

  
  
• 
  

  Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary

  
  

Quality Control

• 
  

  Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications

  
  
• 
  

  Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed

  
  

Maintenance and Safety

• 
  

  Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades

  
  
• 
  

  Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

  
  

Documentation

• 
  

  Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations

  
  
• 
  

  Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly

  
  

Collaboration

• 
  

  Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow

  
  
• 
  

  Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus

  
  
• 
  

  Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role is preferred

  
  
• 
  

  Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques
