Position: Practice Leader, Federal

Location: Dallas, TX

Our architects pursue design excellence with a desire to improve the interactions we have with each other and our built environment. Our Architecture Group includes 40 distinguished architects, interior designers, planners, graphic designers, and LEED-accredited professionals with direct access to our more than 700 professionals across 11 disciplines.

Our architectural practice focuses on multiple markets. Our collaborative design approach brings to light creative solutions to complex challenges, while balancing social, environmental, and economic realities. We orchestrate the design process with a full range of services, from programming and concept design, through architecture, interior and graphic design, and construction administration services.



Responsibilities

    Lead the development, design, and delivery of Federal architecture projects from concept through construction
  • Serve as the primary client contact for Federal projects, ensuring alignment with mission, budget, and community goals
  • Partner with firm leadership to establish and implement a strategic plan for growth of the Federal practice
  • Pursue new business opportunities by identifying prospects, developing proposals, and participating in interviews and presentations
  • Direct project teams, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget
  • Collaborate with other practice leaders and disciplines to promote cross-sector innovation and firmwide collaboration
  • Mentor and develop staff in federal design principles, client service, and project leadership
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and emerging issues in public architecture, including sustainability, resilience, accessibility, and community engagement
  • Support marketing and business development activities through speaking engagements, conference participation, and professional involvement
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain active oversight of key milestones and deliverables
  • Promote the firm's values of excellence, respect, integrity, innovation, and social responsibility through all project work and client interactions
  • Others duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Architecture required; Master's degree preferred
  • Licensed Architect (RA) required; NCARB certification preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience with a proven track record of pursuit success in the Federal market
  • Proven success in business development and client relationship management within the federal sector
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with 3D visualization software (SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, or similar) preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience leading, guiding, and mentoring a team
  • Some travel required
