Job Title: Production Scheduler

Location: Conyers, GA

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a Production Scheduler that will be responsible for scheduling orders at the Conyers location. This position is a member of the Production Control team and reports into the Production Control Manager.

What you'll be responsible for in this role: (list job duties/responsibilities)

  • Review Master Schedule to identify outsource potential for parts and complete systems and make recommendations to management regarding same
  • Collaborate with Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning for variance management and strategic scheduling to support multiple sites and provide recommendations regarding same
  • Communicate with Inside Sales Engineer, Engineering, Supply Chain and Production Managers to clarify, interpret, and implement requirements, manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations.
  • Utilize customer supported forecast to develop a long term demand plan for internal operations.
  • Work with finance to ensure that the revenue tied to each month's production schedule matches the financial commitment.
  • Develop, initiate and implement the internal short cycle process for expedited orders
  • Analyze and commit to Customer Delivery dates based on a variety of inputs
  • Review line capacity and determine best fit after customer date changes
  • Analyze, update and implement revised schedules based on changes generated by such factors as engineering changes, customer requests, missing parts, etc.
  • Proactive management of past due production orders
  • Assess trends, track progress of production orders and provide suitable information and recommendations to internal customers regarding the same
  • Interpret master data related to Planning and Scheduling to ensure proper settings and product supply.
  • Assess and implement Lead Time communications to internal and external sales teams

What are the basic qualifications?

  • High School Diploma with significant relevant experience or an Associates or Bachelor's degree with some experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production scheduling, purchasing or any equivalent combination of education and experience

What are the preferred qualifications?

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field preferred

  • Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with others across all levels and functions of the business
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Exposure within a technical engineering environment, especially engineered-to-order, is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Production Control methods and Capacity Planning is desirable
  • Ability to work within a team environment using consensus building to achieve a desired result, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Develop a working knowledge of performance metrics associated with manufacturing and on-time delivery
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI (preferred)
