Position Summary The Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research seeks a Research Assistant to work as a nutrition/dietary research technician in our Bionutrition Core. Responsibilities Duties include preparing food for research participants using precise, accurate, and food safe methodologies. Delivering and retrieving meals from inpatient/outpatient research participants Setting up and calibrating equipment Collecting data and keeping records of results Developing protocol-specific recipes using NDS-R software Educating research participants on protocol-specific food instructions (non-clinical) Other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory, such as ordering and maintaining food supplies and equipment; and following cleaning schedules Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree and one and a half years of related experience in nutrition/dietetics or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Completed food protection course. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate with staff and research participants.
