Security Officer - Patrol

As a Security Officer - Patrol in East Durham, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants, visitors, and property teams with clear communication, timely incident reporting, and customer-first service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, common areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and building activity, verify authorized entry, assist with visitor directions, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
