Security Officer - Roaming Patrol

As a Security Officer - Roaming Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a leading technology and communications location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also support access control, respond to alarms, and provide clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology-focused office, campus, and/or facility areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and common areas by observing people, vehicles, and/or deliveries for unusual activity, verifying authorization when required, and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Complete routine reports and logs, assist with badge and/or visitor processes as directed, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
