Security Officer - Visitor Gate Driver

As a Security Officer - Visitor Gate Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and complete routine patrols to support a secure, orderly operation. You will stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with drivers and staff, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at an access control post by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing traffic to designated docks, yards, and shipping or receiving areas.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and document unusual activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed and completing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, parking areas, perimeter gates, and yard areas to help to deter trespassing and/or theft and to identify hazards or maintenance concerns for escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
