Security Officer - Armed Patrol Vehicle Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Vehicle Driver in Hoffman, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift while supporting a caring culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with post orders and applicable laws and/or regulations; remain prepared to use appropriate force options only as authorized.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, access control issues, alarms, and calls for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; observe, document, and report unusual conditions.
• Complete detailed reports, logs, and required documentation, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding incidents, shift activity, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
