Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a financial services location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents, assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations per site procedures. You will be part of a caring, people-first team that acts with integrity, stays agile and reliable, and looks for innovative ways to support the site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points for irregularities.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to the appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete detailed, accurate documentation such as patrol logs, shift activity reports, and incident reports, and communicate key information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
