The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for the role of Director of Undergraduate Admissions (DUA). The DUA is a dynamic, engaging, and team-oriented member of the McIntire community who represents and promotes academic programs to prospective students and families. The DUA leads all facets of the McIntire Office of Undergraduate Admission, which include: creating and managing the undergraduate admissions recruiting and advising strategy, including leadership of first year experience programs; oversight of both the internal and external transfer admission processes; directing the work of all Undergraduate Admissions team members; and collaborating with School leadership on the undergraduate admission process within the greater University and national/international business school landscape. This role is not limited solely to this position description but involves collaborating and contributing in a team environment to provide the highest level of service possible, with a commitment to continuous improvement. Working alongside administrative and academic leadership within the School, the McIntire Office of Undergraduate Admission is responsible for all facets of undergraduate recruitment and admission. This includes planning and executing information sessions and presentations; recruiting and advising prospective Commerce students throughout the academic year; facilitating internal and external admissions processes for the B.S. in Commerce; providing internal admissions and advising for McIntire-sponsored minor degree programs; and engaging with a broad constituency to market and promote undergraduate academic programs at McIntire. The position requires the availability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as necessary. The McIntire Office of Undergraduate Admission is committed to supporting and guiding students through the admissions process. The McIntire School of Commerce is nationally recognized as one of the premier undergraduate business programs in the United States. The Bachelor of Science in Commerce is a distinctive three-year program, preceded by one year of coursework completed at another school within the University before students matriculate into McIntire.
