As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will deliver a professional presence while supporting patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns to be reported.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, monitoring entrances, and supporting visitor management processes in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergency support activities as assigned, de-escalation, and coordinating with on-site leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and handle assigned equipment and firearms in compliance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
