Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Rooms, the Housekeeping Houseperson supports the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment. This role is essential in ensuring guest rooms and service areas are well-stocked, promptly serviced, and aligned with hotel standards. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to guests and team members
  • Respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as cribs, cots, extra towels, linens, and amenities
  • Deliver and set up requested items in guest rooms efficiently and safely
  • Assist Room Attendants in preparing guest rooms by restocking supplies, removing linens, and supporting room turnover
  • Ensure housekeeping storage areas, linen closets, and carts are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Transport clean and soiled linens between guest floors and laundry areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas, service corridors, and back-of-house spaces as needed
  • Follow all housekeeping policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly
  • Support deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed
  • Handle equipment and cleaning supplies safely and responsibly
  • Clean guest room windows, balconies and blinds as required
  • Assist with linen and supplies inventory

Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and focused on guest needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving items as required
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
