Vice President, Support Services - RWJ University Hospital

RWJBH is seeking a Vice President of Support Services at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Reports To:

• The Vice President, Support Services at RWJ University Hospital reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer at RWJ University Hospital.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required, preferably MBA
• 5-7 years of experience leading a service culture and service experience

Essential Functions:

• Display strong business acumen, sophisticated knowledge of healthcare, and experience in competitive marketplaces with the ability to make complex and difficult decisions
• Establish a plan to address productivity, operational performance, and team member engagement
• Driving and creating a culture of gracious hospitality to improve the overall patient experience
• Plan, monitor and manage the operations budget to insure achievement of operational and financial goals
• Create an environment that supports team morale, improved service and highest quality,
• Initiate a strategic process that addresses continuous measurable improvement
• Exhibit strong communication, presentation and listening skills to ensure facility-wide collaboration and coordination
• Assure the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, ensuring a constant patient focus
• Maximizes productivity by analyzing patient volume and appointment capacity
• Monitors wait times and manage workflows/schedules accordingly
• Owns performance results regarding patient experience, finance, and quality management
• Creates staffing plans and manages hours to ensure that there are always clinical resources available to treat patients
• Ensures high team member morale and a professional, effective, and efficient working atmosphere
• Strong operational and financial acumen with the ability to lead and partner around a vision for outstanding healthcare delivery
• Participates in administrative business operations meetings as scheduled
• Provide leadership in mentoring and developing direct reports and staff in a manner that emphasizes the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and the sharing of information, resources, and best practices amongst employees across the organization
