Overview:
Surgery Clinic Registered Nurse - Full Time The Surgery Clinic Nurse plays a vital role in coordinating and supporting patient care throughout the surgical process. This position is responsible for ensuring all pre-admission testing requirements are completed prior to surgery, conducting pre-operative phone calls, and maintaining clear and timely communication with patients regarding instructions and results. The nurse works closely with surgeons in the clinic setting, assisting with patient rooming, clinical procedures, and overall workflow support. Additional responsibilities including managing incoming and outgoing patient communications, returning calls, and providing test results and follow-up information in a professional and compassionate manner. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, maintains a high level of accountability, and is comfortable communicating with patients via phone. The ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and collaborate effectively within a clinical team is essential. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
