Inside Sales Representative

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.   • Answers incoming calls to the inside sales team.
  • Answers technical questions about products, functionality, and specifications.
  • Takes orders from customers, entering order information accurately; provides information on the ordering and shipping processes.
  • Clearly and accurately documents issues.
  • Resolves customer inquiries relating to shipping; communicates resolution to customers.
  • Revises inside sales manuals and procedures.
  • Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
  • May coach less experienced inside sales representatives.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Other duties as required.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

Required

Four-year college or university degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

Experience:

Required

Two or more years of relevant experience.

Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:

Required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to use a customer relationship management system.
