JOB MISSION:

The Workday Administrator supports and enhances the organization's Workday platform with a focus on Time Tracking, Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, and Reporting. This role serves as a functional expert and partner to HR, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure system accuracy, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality data and reporting.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Workday System Administration

  • Provide day-to-day support, configuration, and troubleshooting within Workday, particularly in Time Tracking, Absence, Advanced Compensation, and Core HCM.

  • Maintain system integrity by managing security roles, business processes, configuration updates, and tenant settings.

  • Lead and execute Workday semi-annual release testing, including documentation, stakeholder communication, and impact analysis.

Time Tracking & Absence

  • Review and optimize current configuration, configure and maintain time entry codes, time calculation rules, accruals, and leave plans globally.

  • Partner with Payroll and Operations to ensure compliance with labor policies, FMLA, and leave-of-absence regulations.

  • Support the rollout of absence and timekeeping functionality to new groups or geographies.

  • Oversee the integration of Workday Time Tracking & Absence with external scheduling platform in global Retail.

Advanced Compensation

  • Support new and existing configuration of compensation structures, merit processes, and bonus plans,

  • Assist with annual compensation cycles, ensuring accurate setup, testing, and execution.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, and data sources (Advanced Reporting, Calculated Fields, Worksheets, Discovery Boards).

  • Provide accurate, timely data to HR, Finance, and business leaders for audits, compliance, and strategic planning.

  • Ensure data integrity and support data governance practices across the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT to understand business requirements and translate needs into scalable Workday solutions.

  • Support end-user training, documentation, and change management initiatives.

  • Participate in projects, enhancements, and system upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5+ years of Workday system experience, with hands-on configuration in Time Tracking, Absence, Advanced Compensation, and Reporting.

* Strong experience creating, modifying, and loading EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) for data updates and mass uploads.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create calculated fields, complex reports, and custom data sources.

  • Experience with Workday business processes, condition rules, and security.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $138,500.00 - $173,000.00 - $207,500.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
