Electric Boat Navy Facility Engineering & Training Technologies (Department 701) is an innovative architectural/engineering and project management group specializing in design, site preparation, installation and maintenance of Naval Facilities and Trainers around the world, homebased at Naval Submarine Base New London. Electric Boat Navy Facility Engineering and Training Technologies (Department 701) is seeking an experienced candidate to oversee facility construction and trainer installation projects located at multiple Naval bases around the country. Role Overview Electric Boat Navy Facility Engineering and Training Technologies (Department 701) is seeking an experienced candidate to oversee facility construction and trainer installation projects located at multiple Naval bases around the country. The successful candidate will serve as the project manager for Electric Boat and its government customers. The candidate must be capable of handling multiple tasks for concurrent projects while managing and maintaining priorities and schedule. Key Responsibilities Those tasks include working with design to develop the most effective layouts; working with finance to make the most efficient use of available funding; establishing and maintaining overall project budgets and financial status reports; developing project and program schedules; preparing informal and formal project proposals, general correspondence, engineering reports and facility and trainer conceptual sketches. The position will include chairing or participating in periodic teleconferences and developing meeting minutes. The work will require close interface with senior levels management of multiple government agencies.The candidate must encompass highly developed leadership and decision-making skills under restrictive deadlines. Extensive communication with architects, government officials regarding new projects, governing codes, invoices, and meetings. In addition to interface with senior level management at UWSTR, Submarine Learning Center (SLC), PMS 339 and host training commands. Travel to multiple sites around the country will be required - up to 50% Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or GED.
