Estimating Representative

Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm in office

Your Responsibilities:

• Forecast project and product costs by gathering specifications and compiling detailed cost data

• Prepare price quotations for new orders, project continuations, and special requests

• Compute cost estimates for:

  • Raw materials

  • Purchased equipment

  • Subcontracted work

  • Labor, transportation, and related production costs

• Apply established pricing programs using:

  • Pricing databases

  • Product and service costing models

  • Sales quoting tools

• Calculate profit percentages and add margin to cost estimates to determine final pricing

• Collect and validate information from cross-functional partners as needed to ensure accurate quotes

• Support the establishment and maintenance of pricing standards and pricing databases

• Ensure quotes comply with budgetary constraints and internal guidelines

• Perform a variety of estimating and pricing tasks under general supervision

You Must Have:

• Familiarity with standard estimating and pricing concepts, practices, and procedures

• Understanding of:

  • Products and materials

  • Manufacturing processes and production rates

  • Production equipment capabilities (preferred; required at higher levels)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to exercise judgment, plan work, and manage multiple requests

We Would Also Prefer:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• Estimating, pricing, or related experience

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18.50 - 20.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
