Job Description: Associate Director for Chicago, IL location. Responsible for academic advising, bar admission advising, scholarship administration, program development, and exam support. Serve as the point of contact and primary student advisor for J.D., L.L.M., joint-degree and M.L.S. students in College of Law. Advise students regarding the progression of their academic program, including degree requirements, certificate requirements, and course selection. Research and advise students and alumni regarding bar administration requirements and assist students in researching bar admissions requirements, including international students, regarding CPT and bar exam clearing processes. Direct the Student Affairs Coordinator in the administration of Dean's certificates and character and fitness forms for state boards of board admission. In coordination with the offices of Admissions, Advancement, Financial Aid, and the Dean, coordinate the administration of scholarships for the College of Law. Serve as Chair of the College of Law Scholarship Committee, which oversees the selection process for application-based scholarships. Work with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, to design, develop, communicate and implement programs and conduct presentations regarding registration, degree requirements, certificate program requirements, and joint-degree requirements. Technical Tools: Excel, MS Office.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Law or related field plus 1 year of experience in student services or education administration or advising students in higher education or as a law clerk/clerk required. Required skills: Must have excellent administrative, communication (oral & written), organizational, presentation & time management skills; demonstrated research skills; experience working in customer facing role; experience guiding LL.M. students to relevant websites and resources to help them understand bar exam course requirements and jurisdictional eligibility criteria; writing business communications; excellent interpersonal skills. Some telecommuting permitted. Domestic biennial travel to professional conferences in the U.S., 4 - 7 days per year every 2 years. $65,625/yr-$83,670/yr.
