CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurants, is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Project Management Intern for the Summer semester.

This is a paid internship designed to provide professional growth and development in project management while gaining hands-on experience in strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. This program will not qualify for college credit (exceptions may apply). This exciting opportunity will be based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX and requires 40 hours a week, with work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This will be a hybrid work arrangement of mostly in-person/on-site work and some remote/WFH.

What You Will Learn & Gain Experience In:
Working alongside cross-functional departments, you will contribute to a variety of projects while developing and strengthening your project management, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

General Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Assist with strategic company initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Participate in weekly status meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and solutions to active projects.
  • Support project planning and execution by tracking deliverables, identifying risks, and monitoring issue resolution through Smartsheet.
  • Help develop and improve processes across CEC departments to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Conduct data analysis and research to support decision-making and improve project outcomes.
  • Attend cross-departmental meetings to gain insight into company-wide strategy and execution.
  • Build a portfolio of completed work throughout the internship to showcase your skills and experience to future employers.

You should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in progress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with any of the following platforms is a plus, but not required: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams), Adobe Creative Suite, Basecamp, Smartsheet, and Wrike.
  • Spanish bilingual speaking is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable using a computer with repetitive hand movements.
  • Must be able to work an 8-hour shift with some overtime if required.
  • Must be available to travel to various locations via airplane or vehicle as needed.
