Aerospace Logistics Coordinator

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Kennesaw, GA! In this role you will process shipping documentation, monitor shipment status and liaise with the customer service team to address any questions that they may have.

You will be working out of our Kennesaw, GA facility and reporting to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures for processing documents for shipping domestic and international shipments

• Prepare and process shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, invoices, and labels.

• Work closely with packing and operations team to verify weights and dimensions for PO requirements on shipping method.

• Communicate with external clients such as carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of goods.

• Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues or delays promptly.

• Work with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure safe and timely delivery of goods.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics costs.

• Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, internal customers, inventory control team, shipping and receiving teammates, and others involved in the shipment of products.

• Work with various functions of the shipping process.

• Work with carriers and freight forwarders with filing claims for damaged goods.

Qualifications

• Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of prior experience in procurement, supply chain-related roles, inventory management, stocking, customer service, delivery, or related roles.

• Experience with office administration work preferred.

• Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and regulations.

• Proficiency in logistics software (i.e. UPS and FedEx software), Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
