Job Description

EBAD is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to support our high-mix, low volume work flow for our Energetic Assembly product lines. The Master Scheduler will manage the production activity plans and schedules for the manufacture of Frangible Joint, Linear Shaped Charge Assembly and Devices products. This position will report directly to the Value Stream Manager.

The Master Scheduler collaborates with the Program Management Office (PMO), Value Stream Managers (VSM), Planners and Production Supervisors to develop and maintain detailed production schedules. On a regular basis, the Master Scheduler will evaluate production performance, mitigate schedule risks, identify, and react to developing trends. Master scheduler will be focused on leveling backlog into an executable schedule that matches daily / weekly capacity to customer demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain production schedules with near term scheduled backlog and longer term planned work consisting of backlog, proposed and forecast work.
  • Work with program teams to level schedule resource capacity (people, material and equipment)
  • When capacity exceeds demand - work with VSM and supervisors to allocate resources elsewhere or PMO to identify opportunities making work available sooner
  • When demand exceeds capacity - work with VSM and supervisors on short term OT planning or PMO group to prioritize work.
  • Establish demand and planning time fences to identify Long Lead Procurement activities including Advanced Work Authorization prior to customer award to fill gaps in level schedule.
  • Ability to help decide the required rate and operator load based on available Standard Work for a given period of time as demand fluctuates
  • Maintain data integrity of ERP and other capacity planning tools
  • Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the production deliverables
  • Monitor program milestones and interdependencies that could impact the production schedule
  • Proactively provide information on items impacting the project schedule
  • Identify potential countermeasures to regain schedule slippage
  • Document changes integrated into the project schedule
  • Identify capacity constraints during the proposal process and contract negotiations.
  • Acts as the communication liaison between the program office and operations to ensure seamless flow of information from the customer to the shop floor and from the shop floor to the customer.
  • Maintain detailed schedules for all open and planned orders using software such as Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Interact with customers and internal team members across multiple functions to maintain level loaded scheduling across operations.
  • Reviews new customer orders and determines feasible delivery dates.
  • Leads internal weekly meetings and captures actions to ensure program schedules are maintained as planned. Work with cross functional team members to ensure all actions are completed to achieve plan.
  • Support and participate in monthly SIOP meetings. Provide input for operations planning and scheduling. Review forecasted/proposed programs during SIOP and verify that production capacity will be available to support the future programs.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree, technical discipline is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a production scheduling or program scheduling role in a manufacturing environment, aerospace experience is preferred
  • Expert in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • CAPM, PMI-SP or PMP desired
  • Must be capable of learning our ERP system (IFS)
