The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team at our Kent, WA warehouse. This role will develop inventory strategy and provide inventory support for McKinstry's projects, departments and subsidiaries. Responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinates inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers.

  • Creates inventory budgets and maintains the company's stock ratio.

  • Tracks the transportation and distribution of inventory.

  • Oversees the records of all stocks and compiles evaluation reports.

  • Performs daily auditing of inventory.

  • Provides supervision of the inventory cycle counting; accounting and reporting of inventory surplus, product returns, and damages; cost movement of company products evaluation and purchase and invoice details assessment; re-stocking and filling order forms; and estimation of potential stock requirements according to sales reports.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed at McKinstry:

  • BA/BS degree in Administration, Material Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field required.

  • Basic knowledge of barcode equipment required.

  • Experience working with inventory software required.

  • Strong calculative and analytical skills required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines with effective time management required.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills to include production line methods and staff training preferred.

  • Post graduate degree in Supply Chain, Retail, Operations, Inventory Management or related field preferred.

The pay range for this position is $24.36 - $39.28 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
