Overview
About the Role We are looking for a handson Production Supervisor to lead our Large Diameter Tube Bending operations, including tube benders, endfinishing cells, and tube laser cutting equipment. This role ensures the effective use of people, equipment, and processes to meet all safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. This is a salaried role - pay is based on the experience with manufacturing and job shop. Shop Schedule: 1st shift 6:00am-4:30pm as a supervisor will need to ensure staff are ready for their shifts and the oncoming 2nd shift supervisor understands priorities. (overtime on Fridays based on customer demand - supervisors will assist the Plant Manager to determine if OT is needed)
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Lead a highperforming team, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
- Direct and schedule daily work activities using schedules from production schedulers to maximize labor, skills, and equipment utilization.
- Train team members and maintain accurate training records in accordance with IATF standards
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing process documentation and quality standards.
- Maintain production schedule adherence and collaborate on proper staffing levels.
- Monitor product quality, distribute supplies, and manage inventory needs.
- Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities, production issues, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
- Promote strong safety practices, good housekeeping, and proper PPE usage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and production/quality standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
- Advanced ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and production problems.
- Ability to read/interpret technical documents (Blueprints, engineering drawings, job orders, etc) and work crossfunctionally.
- Comfort working in a fastpaced production environment with timesensitive demands.
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with production/business systems.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including leading production teams.
- Experience with continuous improvement or costreduction initiatives.
