Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Project Scheduler to join our Chipley office. As part of the Transportation Group, the Project Scheduler supports the development and maintenance of project schedules related to FDOT work. Working under close supervision, this role primarily uses established templates and standardized procedures created by more experienced team members. The Project Scheduler assists with routine schedule updates, data validation, and reporting while building foundational scheduling skills and gaining exposure to project scheduling tools and methodologies. This role will be based in our client's office 5 days a week and is not a hybrid or work from home opportunity.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Use pre-built schedule templates to support the creation and updating of logic-driven project schedules under close guidance
  • Perform basic schedule reviews to verify data entry accuracy and flag issues for senior team members to resolve
  • Assist with monthly schedule updates in PSEE or related tools by running standard audits and validating routine data
  • Generate recurring schedule reports by following established reporting templates and instructions
  • Support what-if schedule analysis by preparing data sets and documenting impacts as directed
  • Communicate with project teams to gather missing information or clarify simple schedule inputs
  • Provide entry-level user support for scheduling tools by answering basic questions or escalating issues as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement by sharing observations and learning new tools, templates, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent work experience in related industry; required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in related field; required
  • Exposure to or early familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Oracle Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar systems; required
  • Basic understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling concepts, with willingness to learn and grow technical skills; required
  • Developing analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn how to interpret scheduling data; required
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks with regular guidance and ask for help when encountering unfamiliar issues
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document findings and ask clarifying questions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, follow templates, and apply feedback to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Availability and willingness to travel
